Pickles are traditionally appealing appetizers and snacks that are both crunchy and delicious. They are old home made family recipes that were passed down to me by my grandma. Grandma’s Good Ol’ Traditional Dill Pickles, Grandma’s Garlic Dill Pickles Recipe, and Grandma’s Cheery Cherry Dill Pickles are sure to become your favorite pickle recipes because they deliver delicious results every time and are fun to execute.
For each of these recipes, cucumber selection is of utmost importance. Cucumbers should be fresh, crisp, and by no means overripe. The size and quantity of cucumbers required for each recipe will vary depending upon the size of one’s pickle jars.
Cucumbers may be pickled whole, or they may be cut into a variety of shapes before pickling. Many people prefer to cut their cucumbers into fourths or small slices/chips before pickling to ease in packaging.
